It’s been 1 year since the release of Team Cybergeist’s 26 track double-disc release, “How To Destroy Something Beautiful”, and Angel Bartolotta (Dope drummer and founder of Team Cybergeist) has already begun production on the next studio album, currently untitled. “This album will be a step in a different direction,” says Angel. “When I was writing the music for the first album, I was thinking of it as a studio project. This time around, I want to write more of a live record. It’ll still have the same electronic Team Cybergeist sound, but it’ll be a little more organic and aggressive. I’m composing songs that will translate well on stage. The first album has 26 tracks, and we only play about half of them live. That won’t be the case this time around.”
Angel says the other members of the live band (Sally Debauchery, Jason Schmidt, Rick Ace, and Cassandra Calo) will all make appearances on the new album. There will also be some returning guests from “How To Destroy Something Beautiful” as well as many new musicians. Some of those new additions include:
* Eric Bass (Shinedown)
* Koichi Fukuda (Static-X)
* Meegs Rascon (Coal Chamber)
* Adam Zadel (Soil)
* Tara McLeod (Kittie)
* Eric Powell (16volt)
* Walter Flakus (Stabbing Westward)
Angel says the new album will be released some time in 2012. In the meantime, the live band will continue to tour in between recording sessions. All upcoming show dates will be posted on the Tour Dates page of this website.
